We want to make people better – better at school, better at work, better to one another.

About Innovative Enterprise – IE – was started in 2005 by Andrew ‘Bernie’ Bernard after he’d done 17 years in the wrong jobs. It was set up to do one main thing: “Bringing the Future to Life” for young people and in the past ten years has worked with more than 100,000 people – as well as businesses, charities, teachers and a host of other partners.

About Bernie – Bernie, or Andrew Bernard to his mum, was an underachiever at school, he left with an E and a U at A level from a Grammar school and this changed his life…he decided to make a change and went away to college in North Wales. After a successful three years and a Distinction in HND in Business and Finance he went on to work at Management levels in Unilever, a Professional Construction firm, then Salford and Lancaster Universities and did a Degree and teaching qualification part time. Still feeling he was missing something he did a fire walk at 38 years old and decided he wanted to work with young people. Now 10 years on he’s delivered more than 1,500 workshops and talks to over 100,000 people internationally, is a Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association and entrepreneur. He has spoken internationally in the UK, Europe and the UAE and bring passion and enthusiasm to your event as a speaker, MC or facilitator.

Since 2014 Bernie has been a Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association of the UK and Ireland. This is the highest level of membership and is your guarantee of professional service and ethics. It also means that his craft and technique are constantly developing through his professional and challenging network of peers.

Bernie is also a Director of National Careers Week (6th – 11th March 2017) which is the National body representing Careers Education in the UK. On Twitter our resources and links can be found at @CareersWeek and the hashtag #NCW2017.

Two of the workshops Bernie delivers – Life By The Balls and Rule of Thumb – both support charity partners – Orchid Cancer Care and Refuge respectively.

In September 2016 Bernie shared his thoughts on how CSR enables business to Engineer Random Opportunities to Succeed at TEDxWhitehaven. The film has been uploaded to the TED website and the link is here.
