“one of the most impactful and thought-provoking sessions I’ve experienced in a long time…”

CPD / INSET.

At the end of June I was given the honour of delivering the closing keynote and a workshop at the Peterborough Education Safeguarding Conference to 80 safeguarding leaders, SLT members, Headteachers and PSHE leads.

My session covered online harms, the manosphere pipeline, how technology and online relationship narratives are leading to unhealthy and controlling behaviours in young peoples’ relationships.  I also explored some of the ideas and tools I’ve designed into my forthcoming book and gave attendees some tools to use to challenge online narratives, open debates around sexist attitudes and ways to switch on some empathy lightbulbs amongst students.

One of the attendees Julie Addison a Peterborough Assistant Principal posted on LinkedIn and I’m going to quote from her post: “Bernie delivered one of the most impactful and thought-provoking sessions I’ve experienced in a long time…{he] shared powerful insights on healthy masculinity, misogyny, coercive control and the role we all play in challenging harmful behaviours before hey escalate”.

“A huge thank you to Bernie for challenging us to think differently and reminding us that real change starts with each of us”.

If you’re hosting some CPD, INSET sessions or a conference for your professionals and colleagues please let me know if I can help.

Here are all my Speaker keynotes and workshops.

Have a great week and I hope you’re managing to stay reasonably cool in the final few days of term.
