In April I was asked to talk to a journalist at the Manchester Evening News about my experiences in the recent past working in schools and working to raise awareness of so-called ‘toxic masculinity’ and the increase in misogyny and sexualised behaviours in schools.
We cover the rise of manosphere influencers, the availability of p0rn and how technology is being used to allow young people tracking one another and employing controlling and abusive online behaviours.
It’s a very unhealthy set of coinciding circumstances that are leading to issues in schools with safeguarding leaders struggling, parents confused and clueless to the scale of abusive behaviour their children are engaged in and teachers stretched with more misogynistic and sexualised behaviour towards them.
