As with others adapting to many elements of daily life changing, so we at IE are evolving to be able to deliver our sessions remotely or face to face with new guidelines and procedures in place to ensure everyone stays safe.

During the lockdown I delivered some CPD sessions for National Careers Week (NCW) over Zoom – for an LEP Hub in Cumbria and then following that up with five open sessions to nearly 300 careers leaders and SLT members across the UK.

The sessions were designed as a one-hour session which talked about the genesis and history of NCW, the resources available and how to use them and how to plan to get the most out of NCW2021 – whether it’s virtual, face to face or a blend of methods. There was a specially-designed notes and info sheet which particpants downloaded and time for questions and feedback.

We decided to record the final session and enable people who weren’t on the sessions in June and July to get involved – the link is here, please feel free to watch it or share with your colleagues.

Why am I telling you this? Well, because I wanted to show that as well as NCW, these online skills and delivery methods are being brought to IE. We’ve adapted the delivery methods of our most popular assembly and PSHE / Careers and Ambition sessions to enable them to be delivered remotely. The details can be found here.

Additionally, we have worked with our partner schools on our Autumn term bookings and made sure we can deliver our most popular workshops IN SCHOOL with a range of COVID-19 safety measures to ensure social distancing AND great impact. Here is the workshops page and if you’d like to know more and see the updated H&S / Risk assessment sheets, please let us know.

Whatever it is you’re looking for, and however you’d like it delivered, we can help.

Bernie.
