#GEWConnect – that’s the theme of this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week and it’s nearly upon us!
Week commencing 17th November will be a HUGE celebration of all things Enterprise and Entreprenuership and as ever, we’re in feet-first, up to our necks and below the belt…and drowning in cliches!
This year’s theme is #GEWConnect – meaning that although we have a real chance of connecting with other people and businesses online, the face to face meeting will always be a powerful tool in Business and Enterprise…so GET OUT THERE and meet people! We will be meeting over 1600 students in the 10 workshops we are delivering during the week and our preparations for GEW started yesterday when we presented at the Enterprise Village Enterprise Education Conference at the DTi in London’s Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre on Victoria Street. Check out the event via the hashtag #EntEdConf14 on Twitter and we were lucky enough to share the stage with OFSTED Inspectors, Teaching Professionals and most crucially dozens of passionate Young People from as far afield as Plymouth, Essex, London and the NE who came to share their enterprise skills and journeys with the audience of more than 100 people!
More than ever, our Primary, Secondary, FE and University students need to be linking what they learn in class to real world applications and this conference – from Enterprise Village – was a brilliant celebration of our next generation and their passion and skills for Enterprise and Self-Management.
Remember #GEWConnect is the GEW hashtag on twitter and the organisers ask that you take a double-selfie shaking hands and tweet it out under the #GEWConnect tag.
‘Double-selfie?’ – yes, we used to call them ‘photographs’!
Please connect with us on Twitter too – we are @EnterpriseSBox .
Have a brilliant, fun and Enterprising GEW this year! Bernie.
