Gema Enseñat was never sure what she wanted to be, or do, when she grew up… so she decided to try a bit of everything! During her honours degree in Spanish with Media Studies she taught TEFL during the summer holidays to foreign students, whilst also doing part-time work as a voice-over at local radio stations in Leeds…

Following her Masters in Performance Studies, at London’s Central School of Speech and Drama she went on to teach MFL and Drama at secondary schools across East London.

After a couple of years of working the 9-5, Gema returned to a career in radio – then went on to become a TV presenter.

Reluctant to leave either broadcast media, or education, for the past decade Gema has split her time between announcing on Sky1, and presenting on ITV, whilst using those experiences to deliver interactive educational workshops across the country. Oh, and she also writes a blog on sewing and crafting…

What do I love about delivering the RecyClothes Show..?

“Obviously I love making things – it’s what I blog about, and present shows on, globally… but this goes much further than just ticking my boxes, creatively speaking!
One of the main things I feel about this workshop, is that it’s inclusive – and has all students engaged with the activity, irrelevant of their background. It’s also brilliant FUN!”
